Choice Group Asia acquire Thaivisa.com to become the biggest foreign media in Thailand

BANGKOK: — Choice Group Asia today announced the acquisition of Thaivisa.com and its associated platforms and products from Thaivisa Expat Group Co. Ltd., which will add to their current media portfolio that also includes Pattaya Channel TV and Inspire Digital Media Group.

This effectively makes Choice Group Asia the largest and strongest foreign media in Thailand serving expats and other foreigners interested in Thailand.

Founder George Anderssen and his team has built Thaivisa over the last twelve years so much so that it has become, to many expats living in Thailand, an indispensable media for both local and international news and for that all important information on living in Thailand, which is also supported via forums.

Thaivisa Media Group was purchased by Choice Group Asia and will be managed by Dan Cheeseman, who moves from Group General Manager to Managing Director of the company. Investors involved in the acquisition bring with them considerable knowledge in digital marketing and have a wealth of experience in both traditional and digital media in Thailand.

Choice Group Asia’s ambition is to continue to best serve the expat community of Thailand with a fit for purpose digital media, whilst also evolving the Thaivisa proposition with new exciting platforms. They also plan on expanding the media offer to include additional content, such as online video, for its customers to enjoy.
