A boat carrying more than 30 people has capsized on Table Rock Lake in southwest Missouri, local officials say. Multiple fatalities have been confirmed and divers are searching the water for other victims.
The incident happened at about 7:10 p.m. CT on Thursday when strong winds hit the area. A boat, called “Ride The Ducks of Branson,” capsized on the lake while it was carrying at least 31 people, including children.
A large number of emergency services are at the scene. According to initial reports, there are multiple fatalities and several others have been taken to an area hospital for treatment. Divers are searching the water for victims.
