An international arrest warrant has been issued for Mohamed Abrini, who was seen in a vehicle with fugitive Salah Abdeslam just 2 days before the deadly attacks in Paris, prosecutors say.
The federal prosecutor’s office in Belgium said Abdeslam was filmed at a gas station in Ressons, on the motorway to Paris, on the evening of November 11, just two days before the deadly attacks. Abdeslam was in the company of Abrini, who was seen driving the Renault Clio that was one of several vehicles used in the attacks in Paris.
Abrini is now the subject of a European and international arrest warrant. “He is actively tracked down by Belgian and French police services,” the prosecutor’s office said.
A wanted notice described Abrini as armed and dangerous, and urged anyone who sees Abrini not to approach him but to immediately notify police.
Abrini has dark hair, brown eyes and is 1.75 meters (5 feet 7 inches) tall.
