Police and other emergency services in Louisiana are responding to a mass shooting on South Claiborne Avenue in New Orleans, officials say. At least 10 people have been shot.
The incident happened just before 9 p.m. CT on Saturday when police were called to reports of shots being fired in the 3400 block of South Claiborne Avenue, which is located in the Milan neighborhood.
The New Orleans Police Department said at least 10 people were found to have been shot, including three people who died at the scene. There was no immediate word on the conditions of those injured.
Details about the circumstances of the shooting were also not immediately available.
