A West Virginia Amber Alert has been issued for 14-year-old Nicole Hall who has been reported missing from Greenbrier County and who is believed to be in the company of a violent sex offender. Anyone with information is urged to call 911 immediately.
Nicole was last seen at the Super 8 Motel in Lewisburg in the early morning hours of Monday, according to the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department. Details about the specific circumstances of her disappearance were not immediately released.
Nicole is believed to be with 27-year-old Christopher Rider, a parole absconder and a convicted sex offender with violent tendencies. Rider is described as “armed and dangerous,” leading investigators to believe that Nicole may be in danger. Arrest warrants have been issued.
Investigators have not said whether Nicole knew Rider and, if so, whether she left with him voluntarily. Rider is thought to have taken the child in a silver colored sedan and investigators believe they may be heading towards California or Florida.
The sheriff’s department initially also named 21-year-old Charles Krafft, but he took to Facebook on Wednesday evening to deny being with them. “Everyone I am not with them last I heard Tuesday they was heading to Florida,” he wrote in reply to the sheriff’s office. The amber alert that went out a short time later no longer included Krafft’s name.
Nicole is described as a 14-year-old white female with blonde hair and brown eyes, standing 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing about 104 pounds. Rider is described as a 27-year-old white male with brown hair and brown eyes, standing 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing about 140 pounds.
Anyone who sees either Nicole or Rider is urged to call 911 immediately, or call the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department at (304) 647-7911 if you have any other information that could help investigators in their search.
“If you come into contact with these individuals please contact your local law enforcement agency and do not attempt to approach or apprehend these subjects,” the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department said in a statement.
